At 3.15pm on Tuesday 8th December 1992, Mrs Susan Larch was out walking with four children in the Hindley area of Wigan when she was suddenly startled to see two large silvered coloured objects hovering in the air less than a mile away from her position.
The objects, which were low in the sky, were hovering side-by-side and appeared to be the size of a ten-pence-piece at arms length. She described them as being oblong shaped and both were surrounded by what appeared to be a black halo. As she watched, they started to move away at a very slow speed and without sound.
The objects eventually disappeared in the distance.
